Askin, Dempsey, and Weiss: Legal Hacking, Culture, and Privacy, @ CFP 2014, 10 June

Jonathan Askin , Jameson Dempsey , and Phil Weiss — all of whom are associated with New York Legal Hackers and/or DC Legal Hackers — are scheduled to speak on a panel entitled Legal Hacking, Culture, and Privacy, 10 June 2014, at CFP 2014: Computers, Freedom, and Privacy Conference, in Warrenton, Virginia, USA.


Here is a description of the panel:



This panel will discuss legal hacking as a means of operationalizing Privacy by Design principles and improving the privacy and data security policymaking process. In particular, this panel will provide a brief overview of the legal hacking movement, will discuss the role that legal hacking plays in Privacy by Design, and will conclude with a brief workshop to show how organizations and governments can use legal hacking in their everyday operations to promote privacy and data security.
