Dazza Greenwood of MIT Media Lab, the MIT computational legal science research group , New York City Council Member Ben Kallos , and Thom Neale say they have begun a project to create a free and open version of the New York City Legal Code.
They are holding a Google + Hangout to discuss this project on 17 April 2014.

Collaboration With MIT Media Lab #LegalScience Team and New York City Council Member Ben Kallos in Support of Kallos’ Efforts to Put New York City Legal Code Online in Data-Friendly and REST-Accessible Manner and Related Research, Projects and Activities.
Thom Neale said today that he has been working on this project, and that later this year he plans to convert the data to the format used by State Decoded platform, and to involve the OpenGov Foundation in the project.
